JFK Law has grown considerably in the last five years, including the opening of offices in Toronto and Calgary. To help lead this growth, ensure staff and partners have the resources they need, and clients continue to receive best-in-class legal support, the Partners have created a new position of Chief Operating Officer.
The Chief Operating Officer will report to the Firm’s management committee, through the Managing Partner, and will direct the firm’s business strategy and operations. The COO will have responsibility for strategy, firm performance, operational excellence, financial management, information technology, talent development, compliance and risk management.
The ideal candidate brings progressively senior roles in the administration of a professional services firm or an analogous organization characterized by client service and a high standard of output. There should also be a general understanding and/or direct experience in managing the functional areas of finance, general administration, human resources and IT. With a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the new COO will be a strategic leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An MBA or CPA would be definite assets.
This role is ideally based in Vancouver, though the opportunity may exist to work out of one of the other offices. This is a dynamic time for the firm, and a fantastic opportunity for a Chief Operating Officer who shares the firm’s passion and is ready for a new challenge.
