Accounts Receivable - Collections Clerk

We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk to join our accounting department. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day credit and collections tasks.
Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Managing daily collections, account discrepancies/reconciliations, AR issues, etc.;
- Generating monthly A/R reports for distribution;
- Preparing quarterly A/R summaries;
- Sending out reminder statements.
- Posting general credit card transactions;
- Preparing monthly reports for VISA/MC charges;
- Posting cheques, direct deposits and incoming wires for the general account;
- Posting credit card service fees;
- Preparing daily general deposits;
- Generating monthly A/R reports for distribution;
- Preparing quarterly A/R summaries;
- Sending out reminder statements.
The ideal candidates will:
- Have at least 3 years of accounts receivable and collections experience;
- Experience in a legal accounting environment is strongly preferred;
- Have an accounting certificate/diploma;
- Have working knowledge of general accounting procedures and guidelines;
- Have strong analytical skills and have an extremely high attention to detail;
- Be flexible, time conscious and deadline oriented;
- Have demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and is highly organized;
- Have considered themselves consummate professionals who work well under pressure;
- Have an ongoing commitment to learning and can adapt to change;
- Be capable of working very closely with a department, but is also capable of working well independently.
