Trainer Support Analyst (9 Month Contract)

What We are Looking For:
Aird & Berlis LLP is looking for a Trainer/Support Analyst for a 9 month contract. Reporting to the Manager, Support Services, the successful incumbent will be a member of the Information Technology team and provide hands-on training and support on the firm’s various applications to firm members and lawyers in accordance with the business process requirements. This role is best suited for someone who is a strong communicator with the ability to motivate and train different types of people.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, design and deliver effective training programs, namely new hire training, refresher programs and new application training.
- Manage training schedules
- Create technology training tips on applicable topics
- Work closely with the Service Desk in designing product-training curriculum
- Gather feedback from staff to ensure that training needs are met
- Develop course outlines
- Assist in writing and evaluating materials
- Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
- Using a variety of engaging and instructional techniques, which promote learning and personal development
- Create an interesting and engaging learning environment conducive to optimal learning and provide high quality education to staff
- Ensure modules and all required course materials are available and up-to-datefor distribution to employees
- Assess technical requirements and skills of staff to ensure use of most appropriate tools to achieve required level of knowledge
- Work on or assist in projects as assigned
- Review or update training material where applicable
- Liaise with the software providers on work orders, system bugs/fixes and new software updates to ensure timely follow-up and implementation is achieved
- Work with various departments (HR, Accounting, Marketing and IT) to identify and recommend areas for continued process improvements

Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years of training experience, preferably in a law firm environment
- Experience with iManage or other Document Management Systems is a strong asset
- Technical support background is a definite asset
- Ability to work overtime, upon request

- Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications, Aderant, Litera Numbering, Litera Compare, and Adobe Acrobat
