How to effectively respond to Requests for Proposals
Description
Companies both large and small are taking steps to better control their legal costs. One strategy is for these companies to issue requests for proposals to law firms, setting out the types of legal services required by the company, and their expectations of external counsel. This strategy is designed to form a "partnering" relationship between the client and its law firms, and can result in a cost savings for the client, and increased revenue for the law firms designated to provide legal services.
Tim Hutzul and Yonni Fushman will share their experience in the RFP process, and will offer some tips as to how to avoid common pitfalls and shift the prospective client’s question from “why should I hire you” to “how can I NOT hire you?”
