IMPORTANT NOTICE – CANCELLATION OF TOWN HALL MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2013
Unfortunately, the response to our recent Invitation to attend the upcoming Town Hall Meeting was significantly lower than what we had hoped for, and we are therefore cancelling the meeting. We look forward to seeing you all at the next Professional Development Meeting in March and stay tuned for the details coming shortly. To those who had already registered for the Town Hall Meeting and submitted payment, we thank you for your response and will send a refund shortly.

2013 is an exciting year for TLOMA!!
We are celebrating our 45th anniversary as an Association, as well as the 25th Anniversary of our Annual TLOMA Conference.
You are invited to come out and meet your 2013 Board of Directors, enjoy lunch and network with colleagues at the Toronto Board of Trade on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 – 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to get a burst of sunshine in February as you meet your new Board of Directors along with your Special Interest Group Leaders for 2013, who will each spend a few minutes sharing why they are excited to be actively involved with TLOMA, represent your interests and share with you upcoming events and activities for 2013.
In addition, you will meet this year’s Conference, Compensation and Website Committee Chairs and hear their exciting insights into their Committees’ work this year. Also, our Volunteer Coordinator will provide valuable insights into how you can get involved in TLOMA; you will have the opportunity to “sign up” for current or upcoming volunteer opportunities – our volunteers are our future!
As you are aware, TLOMA is a Not For Profit (NFP) organization. As our special guest, we have invited TLOMA’s current Corporate Legal Counsel, Derek Powers of Borden Ladner Gervais to help demystify the inner workings of NFP organizations as well as describe some recent changes to the Regulations and answer any questions you may have. We are extremely fortunate to have Derek as our Corporate Legal Counsel and hope you will take this opportunity to hear him speak and meet him in person.
And…..with our 2013 Conference fast approaching in September, we know you will want to hear more about the venue and theme so you can block off your calendar for our 25th Annual TLOMA Conference – September 25 to 28, 2013 - it will be a very special Anniversary celebration with some surprises thrown in!
