TLOMA FINANCE SIG - Creating a Killer Strategic Plan for Law Firms
Description
NOTE: This event will be held in person and via webinar dependent on number of in person registrations and boardroom availability.
Successful law firms plan for their success. They consciously put resources toward defining what success means to them, plan the steps that map directly to the elements of the success they have defined, and then follow the steps they have identified with laser-focus.
By creating a well-defined, specific and actionable plan, grounded against your objectives and filtered through your guiding principles, you will be a quantum leap closer to achieving - and even surpassing - your goals.
In this highly-interactive program, we will introduce you to the process of creating a successful Strategic Plan, one that will be the roadmap for your firm going forward over the short-, mid- and longer-term.
We’ll lead you through a series of activities and exercises to help you begin to think more strategically, and then apply that strategic thinking and cascade it through your firm to identify and distill what you need to know, who you need to be, and what you need to do to evolve your individual and collective behaviour in line with your business goals and objectives.
Over the course of our 90-minute program, we will cover the following modules:
Module One :: You know you need a Strategic Plan, but do you know why?
- Benefits of having a Strategic Plan - why law firms, especially, need to plan
- Understanding the strategic planning process - thinking strategically as a practice
- Setting a road map to future success - knowing where you’re going
Module Two :: Not all Strategic Plans are created equal, so how do you build one that actually works?
- Starting at the end - the Future Vision as a destination
- Elements of a successful Strategic Plan - Foundations vs. Tactics
- Putting the pieces together - defining success and setting the course
Module Three :: You have a plan, so now what?
- Implementing your plan
- Getting key stakeholders engaged
- Useful tools for keeping the plan - and the team - on track
Each participant will receive a workbook to guide them through the program, and resources that will support them going forward.
