Job Type: Full Time Permanent.
Target Compensation: From $60,000 to $65,000 per annum, with some flexibility according to experience, and full benefits.

Regular Work Hours: FULL TIME HOURS; from 9 am to 5 pm, including 1 hour lunch break, Monday-Friday / 35.0 work hours per week.
Work Location: 100% onsite for initial training period of 6 weeks, then transitioning to hybrid model with 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.
Responsibilities Summary:
Provide legal administrative coordination and legal documents production services to civil litigation team, supporting different lawyers and general department projects as required.
- Proactively offer assistance to colleagues and lawyers, backing up other administrative personnel as needed. Demonstrate a team attitude, with accountability and confidentiality to both internal and external clients to achieve goals of the Firm.
- Coordinate a litigator's practice including opening and maintaining files, maintaining calendar and bring forward dates, preparing routine correspondence, arranging meetings, scheduling discoveries and booking court appointments.
- Prepare, compile, serve and file affidavits, motion records, appeal records and other court documents in accordance with the Rules of Civil Procedure, court forms and practice directions.
- Receive and respond to client inquiries, conducting follow up as required.
- Obtain information and instructions from clients and forward them to lawyer.
- Perform dicta-typing and make revisions to documents.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including maintenance of email accounts and managing bring forwards.
- Update and maintain client and matter lists.
- Maintain and organize files with a robust follow up system.
- Coordinate and monitor administrative functions to ensure work is completed accurately and within established time frames.
- Additional legal administrative support services as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Legal Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent discipline.
Preferred Work Experience: Approximately 4-5 years of experience in litigation legal administration.
Preferred Sector Experience: Commercial litigation experience desirable. Larger law firm experience desirable.
Technical Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Outlook (will be tested).
- Strong typing and proofreading and attention to detail (will be tested).
- Demonstrated understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure (may be tested).
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, including advanced level business writing skills, excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax, and polished, professional telephone manners.

Additional Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
- Ability to work both remotely and onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
- Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of position responsibilities.
